My Story
Hi everyone, I’m Lauren! Photographer and creator behind Lolowandering. I’m a mid-west native, born and raised in Akron, Ohio. While growing up outside of a national park, I spent most of my days in the woods hiking and exploring, which sparked a lifelong passion for the great outdoors in me. I loved taking photographs to capture not only my beautiful surroundings, but the feelings and memories of the places that I traveled to. For me, I’ve found that a single photograph can strike inspiration, awe, imagination and an incurable sense of wanderlust. I loved capturing those specific moments in time and sharing them with others through my eyes.
Two years ago, I packed up my suitcase and moved solo across the country to the beautiful Pacific Northwest, to start the next chapter of my journey. While I had traveled around the country prior to this, nothing prepared me for the wealth of natural beauty and stunning scenery that was around every corner. I couldn’t wait to document every view, every footstep, and share it with as many people as possible.
