Today marks 40 wild and crazy years on this planet

Today marks 40 wild and crazy years on this planet. This past decade of my life has been a whirlwind and time seems like it has flown by in a flash. Looking back, I’ve questioned at times where I’m at, and that if I have truly achieved the things that I thought I would by this age. Going back through the photos and memories I realize and recognize a life that has been so full. From moving across the country, to seeing one of the world wonders, to watching the Northern lights dance across the Washington sky; I can’t even count how many blessings I have lived through and experienced. I have swam in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, started my own business, tried new exotic foods, summited two different states’ highest mountains, learned how to build a website with no experience, survived a global pandemic, walked amongst the oldest tallest trees in the world, found a deeper love for photography and met so many incredible people along the way. Life is so precious and beautiful, and each day we have here on earth is a gift 🥂. Cheers- here’s to 40 and may the next decade be just as fulfilling!

Gosh, turning 40 has brought out a wide variety of feelings and emotions this past week. I can’t help but to feel like I’m at a crossroads between having everything I ever dreamed of, and feeling like I’m not yet where I should be. It’s very conflicting! I’m definitely trying to just take each day as a gift and keep on being true and authentic to myself. Like a fine wine- I just keep getting better with age 😜🍷.

I’ll never get over this hidden paradise, and we had it all to ourselves the entire time 😍. I spend hours researching when I go on these multi day hiking adventures, so I was ecstatic to find this hidden gem. Keeping this one close to the chest because it is just too magical to share lol.

2025 is starting out SPICY 🌶️. So I wake up last night at four in the morning because I thought I could hear my neighbors talking really loudly outside my window. I get out of bed and start walking into the hallway and realize that the voices are coming from downstairs in my kitchen. Two men’s voices to be exact, and I live alone. I call out downstairs and they answer 😳. Apparently they were extremely drunk and their key just happened to open my front door (thank you so kindly to my complex for re-using keys and locks in your properties). Luckily they left immediately when I started screaming and freaking out, after they realized they were in the wrong apartment, but they left a nice trail of vomit all over my bushes and driveway. I’m thankful that nothing else came from it, but it was absolutely terrifying and now I’m wondering if I’ll ever be able to sleep again 😱.

It’s been real 2024, but I’m so ready for 2025

It’s been real 2024, but I’m so ready for 2025! It’s going to be my year, I can just feel it ✨. Not many people get a chance for a “do- over”, to start over with a completely clean slate in their lifetime. In a few weeks I’ll be turning 40, starting a new career opportunity and the world is honestly my oyster. Can’t wait to see what is in store for me over this new year- the possibilities are endless 💫.
